Taxi-Flow started on the road in Sainte-Julie, Quebec, in the daily life of a paratransit driver who was living the problem from the inside.
Paper sheets in the vehicle, receipts piling up, taxes to recalculate by hand, documents to track down when an inspection comes up or when it is time to meet the accountant: that is daily life for many self-employed and company drivers in Quebec. The founder of Taxi-Flow lived it himself, day after day, as a paratransit driver in Sainte-Julie.
Instead of adding one more tool designed far from the field, he built the app he would have liked to have on board: simple, in French and English, adapted to the rules and units used here, and able to work on the road, even without a connection.
The mission of Taxi-Flow is clear: take the paperwork off the driver's mind so they can focus on the road and their passengers. Track income and expenses as the days go by, arrive at tax season with numbers ready, and keep important documents in one place, without an overflowing binder.
The app is made first for Quebec drivers: taxi, paratransit and rideshare. To see how it fits each job, see the pages dedicated to taxi drivers in Quebec, to paratransit, designed from the field and to Uber and rideshare drivers.
Taxi-Flow brings the driver's bookkeeping together: income by category (regular trip, medical trip, airport trip, tip, other income) and expenses by category, with GST at 5% and QST at 9.975% calculated automatically on expenses. Reports cover the day, the month, 3 months and the year, with totals for taxes payable, and export as a structured Excel file and an accountant-ready PDF report.
It also includes the pre-trip safety inspection round of about 20 points, with minor and major defects and a dated history, driver documents with automatic OCR reading and expiry alerts, a step by step guided joint accident report with photos, a sketch and signatures. Everything works offline first, with automatic sync when the connection returns. For details, discover all of Taxi-Flow's features.
The free trial lasts 14 days, with no credit card and no automatic conversion. The subscription includes 5 invoice scans a day and 20 document scans a month, with unlimited accident reports and safety rounds. Launch prices are now shown: see the pricing from Taxi-Flow. An iPhone version may follow based on demand. Questions? Read the answers to frequently asked questions about Taxi-Flow.
